Southend Wildlife Alert is a volunteer campaign group which exposes the truth about Southend Council Parks and lakes.  We aim to show the residents of Southend-on-Sea Borough the danger to wildlife caused by fishing in the park lakes and the council's lack of control and unwillingness to clear the lakes of dangerous fishing wire, hooks, nets and other discarded items and instead relying on random members of the public to do so despite them having staff that are paid but fail to do so.
